Basketball at St John’s College has had outstanding results in recent years, and has numerous students representing Hawke’s Bay age groups, regional and national teams. Games are played at a junior level at Centennial Hall in Napier on Monday evening and seniors at Hastings Sports Centre on Friday evening. A numbered singlet, which can also be used as your PE singlet, is to be purchased from school and PE shorts are to be worn. Top players have the opportunity to play in a number of tournaments. A Basketball Institute runs throughout the year for selected Yr. 9 & 10 students.
