Course Description:

The Year 9 Te Reo Maori course is an Option subject. All Option subjects run for two terms. During the two terms students will study a simple Karakia and basic Whaikorero. The areas of assessment within these study areas will be Whakarongo, Tuhituhi, Korero and Panui. The emphasise of the Year 9 study is on developing the sounds of the language, building vocabulary, basic sentence structure, reading, writing and speaking.

Te Reo Maori is offered at all Year levels.

NCEA assessment is available in Year 11, 12 and 13.
