Accounting:
What is accounting? Accounting is the discipline of measuring, communicating and interpreting financial activity. Accounting is also widely referred to as the "language of business". It is the process of keeping track of the changes a user implemented in a computing system.
it is a fascinating and challenging method and is one of the most active of professions.
Economics:
Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources.

Resources include the time and talent people have available, the land, buildings, equipment, and other tools on hand, and the knowledge of how to combine them to create useful products and services.
Important choices involve how much time to devote to work, to school, and to leisure, how many dollars to spend and how many to save, how to combine resources to produce goods and services, and how to vote and shape the level of taxes and the role of government.

· To have the opportunity to develop skills in a variety of areas of Economics. It will include such skills as economic decision making, processing and interpreting economic data, recognising different values, gathering and processing research data.

Enterprise Studies Programme Y9
ESP takes an experiential approach to learning and involves the students in the development of their own enterprising projects with a focus on their local community. It bridges the gap between learning and doing, and gives students skills that will enable them, a competitive edge over their peers.
